Nicholas Spends Birthday Eating, Playing Games & Watching Cartoons




Nicholas Tse has just turned 26 and on the night of his birthday, he returned to HK to celebrate with his girlfriend, Cecilia Cheung, at home. Via a phone interview, Nicholas disclosed that Cecilia was still asleep while he played video games. It seems that the pair is very happy. When asked if he had held a celebration on his actual birthday (Aug 29), Nicholas expressed that he had not and has not been holding birthday parties for 8 to 9 years. But last year, his friends gave him a surprise party.

When asked where he was on the day, Nicholas said, “Ate dinner, played video games and watched cartoons at home. (Who was there?) worker. (Was Cecilia there?) Yes. (Did you rush back to HK for your birthday?) Just finished work so I came back. (Did Cecilia cook a birthday dinner for you?) Eason Chan was with me the whole night. (Didn’t you say your girlfriend was there?) Yeah, what ever. Eason and I were talking as usual. He told me stuff, I listened and when it was my turn to talk, he listened. (Was Hilary Tsui also there?) No, she was looking after their daughter because the daughter had to go to school the next day. (What presents have you received?) My mum gave me a present that I would never buy. (What did Cecilia give you?) Nothing. (Birthday cake?) Nopes, didn’t have one. (What did you eat for dinner on your birthday?) In my memory, I had shrimp with egg and rice. I am happy with that.”

When asked to comment on the latest Gillian Chung’s ‘peeping photos’ controversy, Nicholas revealed that he had already been told my a colleague on the day. When hearing this news, Nicholas was shocked and was sympathetic, not only to Gillian but to the culture of Hong Kong’s entertainment circle. He was then asked how Cecilia looked at this incident, but Nicholas only replied by telling that Eason had used ‘sad’ to describe what had happened.
