Synopsis: Fluffy and fun. The Shopaholics is a fast and furious screwball comedy that relies on speed and repetitive shenanigans instead of a solid screenplay or acting - which is fine, because this is a Lunar New Year film. A much, much better movie than Himalaya Singh.

Hong Kong stars Jordan Chan and Cecilia Cheung were in Shanghai Friday to promote their latest Chinese New Year's flick, The Shopaholics.
Fong Fong, played by Hong Kong queen of film Cecilia Cheung, is a shopaholic who can't control her shopping addiction, which leaves her unemployed and in debt. Desperate for help, Fong Fong seeks help from a psychologist, Gan Yan, played by Ching-Wan Lau(刘青云). With Gan Yan's help, Fong Fong slowly improves. Meanwhile, Fong Fong bumps into Kong Fu, played by Jordan Chan(陈小春), a weird millionaire who is very calculating when it comes to spending money, but also a shopaholic. Fong Fong thinks that the reason behind Kong Fu's thriftiness is that he is following in her footsteps. When Kong Fu refuses to see the psychologist, thinking it is a waste of money, Fong Fong pities him and teaches him to save money. Will Fong Fong get over her shopaholic condition? Who will Fong Fong chose; a thrifty millionaire or a kind-hearted eccentric doctor?
