Johnnie To talks about Sammi Cheng
Director Johnnie To is known to be a movie magician because he is able to make any actor/actress look appealing in front of the camera. This is why many actors would love to be in his movie. Johnnie To was asked to comment on some of the actors/actresses that he had worked with.
[When talked about Sammi, he said that Sammi has a very strong rhythm in her acting, as well as flexibility. They worked together in a few movies and he never taught Sammi how to act. He gave her enough room to express herself. He said that when the time is right, she has the potential to become the next Josephine Siu Fong Fong. However, she has to control her emotions because if she has this problem, he is not able to help her. He is only able to wait patiently for her to recover.
