Known as the husband of the popular Miss HK's Kenix Kwok, Frankie Lam has been in the TVB business for many years. He is moving independently from his wife's fame and stars in "Forensic Heroes". He even sings to the theme song!
The newest "Lady Killer"
Since "Dance of Passion" did not reach its initial expected ratings performance, TVB has recently broadcast male-centered dramas to match the World Cup championships to attract the male audience.
Despite "Forensic Heroes" airing in World Cup season, its ratings performance has remained strong and received good audience feedback. Bobby Au Yeung and Frankie Lam Man Lung are the male leads.
Frankie's character is especially challenging, while his handsome and smart forensic scientist role with a sense of justice is especially appealing to female audiences. On the other hand, Bobby's character lacks a refreshing feeling, as it is similiar to his role in "Take My Word for It."
Due to Frankie's outstanding character and portrayal, he has gained a large following and outshone Bobby, who is a widely accepted comedy actor.
Frankie has become the dream lover of many office ladies and the new generation of "housewife killer." Frankie mentioned that when he makes a public appearance now, many people will call out his character's name, "Dr. Koo" and will compliment his acting and that he is more handsome in person than onscreen.
Frankie said he is very happy that he had the chance to play such a challenging character. When he first received the script, he already liked his character and the image is close to his real life personality.
Frankie had acted in many ancient dramas earlier, so it was nice to return to a modern personality with "Forensic Heroes." He will consider acting in mainland productions and would like to appear in police dramas in the coming months. _________________ ***The latest music and entertainment news and upcoming movies- always check back with Karazen and the forums!*** |

More on... Frankie Lam
It is not easy being a celebrity in Hong Kong.
More so, when you are as recognizable as TVB actor Frankie Lam.
The 38-year-old recently battled speculation in the Hong Kong press that his two-year marriage to 36-year-old TVB actress Kenix Kwok was on the rocks.
But, in an interview with The New Paper at Conrad Centennial Hotel last Saturday, the amiable actor appeared unfazed when asked about the rumors.
He said: 'I ignore all these stories because they are never true. I don't read celebrity tabloids because they usually write negative things.'
He added: 'But it's not good. The relationship between the Hong Kong press and celebrities are worsening.'
Last April, Frankie suffered a broken collarbone in a friendly soccer game. He was bedridden for about two months.
Kenix stayed home to care for him and take him to his physiotherapy sessions.
'At the start, my wife had to help me with things like showering and brushing my teeth,' said Frankie, who stars in the drama series Herbalist Manual, which is currently showing here.
'I had to sit up all the time for the first month, even while sleeping. I couldn't move at all. It was really terrible.'
While he is still recovering from his injury, Frankie is already on the lookout for new career opportunities.
'I hope to be making movies next year in mainland China. After almost 20 years in show business, I have grown up a lot.
'I want to try deeper and more challenging roles.' _________________ ***The latest music and entertainment news and upcoming movies- always check back with Karazen and the forums!*** |
