Sammi at Denise's Concert!!! RARE!!!

A rare opportunity to see Sammi perform!!!!



Hocc's 3 night run of <Denise Ho Live in Unity> concert came to an end at the HK Coliseum on Saturday night and it ended with a bang with Sammi appearing as the guest star. On stage, Sammi appeared to be in good spirits and was dressed in a low-cut top. As to Hocc's description of her as a "Superstar" standard singer, Sammi laughed and gestured at her own chest and told Hocc, "We are just at the same level!" [laughing at her own flat chest]



During Hocc's concert, she thanked her teacher Anita Mui twice and also cried 4 times because she was touched by the fan's enthusiasm. From the beginning of the show, she said she would sing till 12 midnight, and eventually ended the concert at 1205, and the only guest of the whole run Sammi only appeared in the encore portion. Sammi was dressed in a jacket over a deep-v vest and appeared to be in good spirits and seemed to have put on weight. As soon as she got on stage she twirled round in delight and dueted with Hocc the song <Goodbye Rosemary>. The whole stadium erupted and Sammi put her microphone at Hocc's stomach, missing the entry into songs quite a few times. In order to prevent Sammi from dropping off the unique stage, Hocc acted as Sammi's security, constantly reminding her to "Be Careful!". Sammi laughed and responded, "Do you think I'm a sweet potato?" and then told the audience that they didn't have to miss her, all they had to do was "Spend 145 dollars to buy my disc!". She laughed and went on to say that when Hocc told reporters that she'd invited a superstar as her guest, she thought perhaps that it might be Paula Tsui, but later found out that she was the only guest that night. She said, "I've only been missing a few months, surely there's no need to put me on a pedestal as a superstar singer!" She then laughed and said, "One look and you know we are at the same level!" The 2 of them then went on to sing <Forever Beauty> and then squatted on the floor as they sang <Ding Dong>. During this time, Sammi walked towards the audience and many of them stretched out to touch Sammi which got Hocc yelling at them "Don't molest her!", turning into Sammi's bodyguard again.





During the concert, Hocc, who usually does not like to talk about her teacher, teared as she said, "This person has changed my whole life. Although many people have criticised me for following her, I think the love we shared is something only we know. Thank you to my teacher Anita Mui." She then let on that the producing company wanted her to add shows, and she asked the audience what they thought of that. The audience responded with raucuous applause, which made her so happy that she sang till 1205, resulting in a 70 thousand dollar fine. The total fine was a six figure sum for the 3 night run.



Hocc told reporters later at the press conference that they'd applied to the Coliseum for show dates in January, and laughed at herself, saying that finally she could make some money for the company after joining them for 2 years. As to whether Sammi would be her guest again, she said it was too early to tell, but she did hope that Eddie Lau would design more outfits for her for the extra shows. Eddie had told her that would be the last outfit he would design, and he was happy with the way she had carried it. As to criticism that she was copying her mentor Anita, she said, "I'm honored to be compared to Anita, but if people want to bad mouth me, there is nothing I can do!"
