Gillian and Nicholas Tse in Martial Art Series
Soon-to-be father, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung has been filming non-stop lately.
His latest drama is 30 episode martial arts series, "Yuen Fa Sai Kim Luk" 《浣花洗劍錄》 with Gillian Chung. The series is a remake of Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing's 1979 version, in which he had a breakthrough performance.
The series is a grand China production and allegedly, Nic received a $10 million (HKD) filming fee.
Did Nic feel additional pressure by taking on Leslie's role? "When Leslie's version was broadcast, I was not even born yet."
"I watched Leslie's original version before filming started. I can only do my best and hope to portray the character convincingly."
Although Gillian Chung's filming fee was below Nic's, it was estimated that she was offered a six figure sum for her role. Adhering to her rule of no onscreen kisses, Gillian and Nic only hugged each other for one of their romantic scenes.
Nic originally wanted to take a vacation in July/ August to await their baby's arrival with to be with pregnant wife, Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi.
However Nic's company can only accommodate by arranging him to work in Hong Kong at the time, so that he can spend more time with Cecilia.

I wanna watch this series. I hope there will be a cantonese version. 
The outfits look cool and pretty. I love Gillian's and Nicholas' outfits!!

i heard that in this series, gillian was supposed to give her first on-screen kiss?
but i guess not.. i saw the interview/preview of the movie but it was in mandarin.. so is this movie in mandarin? |
