Sammi's Interview

During a telephone interview with the Malaysian media yesterday, Sammi mentioned that she will not talk about her love relationship and when asked about Andy Hui at her concert, she said it is merely a good friend being supportive. She will do the same if Andy were to have his own concert.

After talking about her HK concert, Sammi was in a good mood so when reporters asked about her love life, she joked that she spent all her time preparing for the concert and to slim down so she has no time for other things. She said she won't comment about love because there is nothing for her to comment about.

And when reporters asked if she was touched that Andy Hui went to her concert, she said, "I knew he will be coming. We are very good friends and we are just being supportive of each other, there is no special feeling. The next time when he holds a concert, I'll be there to support him too."

Reporters mentioned that the HK media reported them of being together again, Sammi said, "I believe in god's destiny, there is nothing for now and when god gives me something, I will try my best to hold on to it. I will let nature takes its course."

When asked about all the negative reports from the HK media, Sammi said that she felt hopeless but she understands their position. When she decided not to say anything, she already expected such reports.

"Actually both parties has its responsibility, it is not fair to push everything to the media. Until this moment, everything is the past. I have the courage to start again and I don't mind to show my true feelings."

"I understand that we're standing in a different position. Me as an artist and they who reports the news of an artist. Everyone will have a different way when facing the media and it is an interdependent relationship. If there is no media, there is no artist. I am a more reserved person, therefore I prefer not to speak up so much."

During her HK concert, she read out a letter written to herself. Sammi said "Everyone knows that I like to write things and I have in the past wrote articles for a magazine. The letter is my personal feelings and since I won't be able to simply tell it out, the concert is the ideal place to do so."

Sammi is glad that the media in HK have reported her concert as it is and to her it is like getting to know the media from fresh.

Sammi will be holding her concert at Genting from 22 to 23 June and promised she will try to bring everything from HK to Malaysia but will have slight difference because the design of both venue is different.

However, she promised to bring all the costumes from the HK concert to Malaysia. Sammi said, "I am thinking of adding a few more dance costumes". When asked if she will be as sexy, she said "I don't think Malaysia will allow me to reveal so much. I will try my best to adhere to the rules while keeping the quality of the show."

Sammi said that she has not think of the guest yet and she will consider singing some Chinese songs. When asked if she will share her letter again with the audience, Sammi said, "I have not think of it. I don't mind to share it again. The feelings was very intense in HK and if the Malaysian fans want to listen to it again, I will read it again."

Sammi will be busy shooting advertisements and discussing on her new movies. She said, "I only choosed a few countries to do my world tour and do not want to do so many. As for movies, there are many scripts but still have not found a suitable one or one that gives me the bingo feeling. Since it has been a while I have not shoot any new movie, I am not in a rush. I'll be discussing with a director a few days later on a new script."

Sammi then said that her new songs will most probably be in singles format and will only consider doing an album if there are a few more songs.

She said that she will do what an artist should do and currently will only do things that she feels comfortable with. During the conversation, she revealed that she is actually doing her shopping while doing the interview.

"Unlike last time, for the sake of getting something, I forced myself to work. I have actually been wanting to do a concert and my manager asked me why I wanted to do it at a time when there are so many negative rumours of me. I felt that I wanted to do it, and I did it. Although ticket sales may bring me some stress but I wanted to take the challenge."
