Earlier Carina Lau had sported a 5 carat diamond ring after returning from vacation in Japan. Tony admitted that he had given Carina a large diamond ring. As to the smaller diamond ring that Carina has also been wearing, she bought the ring herself. Also reporters pointed out that Carina had spent Valentine's Day with another male, but Tony said it was just a friend.





There are 3 exciting events coming up for the Hong Kong film industry. 2006 is the 25th anniversary for the Hong Kong Film Awards and the 30th anniversary of Hong Kong International Film Festival. As the spokesperson for the Hong Kong Entertainment Expo, Tony has been busy filming promotional clips for the Entertainment Expo and promoting Hong Kong movies.

Tony said, "When I travel overseas to promote my movies, I found out that many international audiences pay special attention to Hong Kong movies starring Jackie Chan, Chow Yun Fat, Stephen Chow Sing Chi, Jet Li, and Directors John Woo and Johnnie To Kei Fung. Hong Kong actually has a lot of talented people."

Having rested for almost 1 year, Tony will be working on Andrew Lau's new movie in April. It is a police thriller and will feature crime solving and a romantic love story. Andrew Lau has revised the script numerous times, hoping to achieve good results. But Tony does not expect to surpass the enormously successful box office of "Infernal Affairs;" Tony hopes to just act in another good movie.

Tony was supposed to learn Wing Chun (martial arts) for Wong Ka Wai's new movie, "Yat Doy Chung See" but the details for the new movie have not been finalized yet and Tony does not know when filming will start.

Also as this year will be the 25th anniversary of the Hong Kong Film Awards, many VIP guests will appear. Stanley Tong Kwai Lai, who is on the Board of Directors for the Hong Kong Film Awards panel, said that former Best Actor and Best Actress Award winners, as well as famous directors will appear at the ceremony. Stanley said that the invited guests have responded with enthusiasm. On March 20th, the guests will all gather together for a group picture to promote the Hong Kong Entertainment Expo.
