TVB Enters High Definition Era, Gigi Lai Crowned “HD Queen”

There is only a few days left before TVB series enter into a new era of High Definition, TVB fa dans will soon be revealing their true faces onscreen, who has good skin, who has wrinkles, all can be seen clearly from TV screens. “War of In-Laws 2” is the first HD series to broadcast, followed closely by two grand productions “The Gem of Life” and “Forensic Heroes 2”. TVB fa dans Myolie Wu, Gigi Lai, Ada Choi and Charmaine Sheh will be appearing in those series, which one them has the best skin and can face HD with the most ease? Renowned HK celebrity make-up artist Ricky Lau gave his expert opinion, out of the 4 fa dans Gigi Lai is the “HD Queen”.

Ricky Lau is a celebrity make-artist who works for Michelle Reis, Niki Chow and Joey Yung, his status and professional opinion cannot be doubted. He was given photos of close-up shots of Myolie, Gigi, Ada and Charmaine, out of the 4, he chose Gigi as the one with best skin. Ricky said “Gigi is the best, her skin is smooth and shiny, it is most important to have glowing skin when it comes to filming HD. In contrast, Ada’s eye makeup is too heavily applied, HD lens is very clear and reveals the skin pores, make-up must be applied with care. Actually all the four actresses are good, but if you compare them, Gigi is the best.”
Gigi’s skin care tips
Gigi the “HD Queen” has smooth and glowing skin, Gigi said “I don’t use any particular make-up for HD filming, I just use some foundation. My skin care tip is to drink lots of soup but don’t put in too much salt. Girls must remember drinking cold water will make your skin look puffy, I always drink warm water.” Another tip is to be happy, because she is filming day and night she often doesn’t get enough sleep, the only way is to be in good spirits, if your mood is cheerful your skin will look beautiful.
Ada and Gigi play sisters in “Gem”, they have many scenes together, Ada said “Gigi and Maggie are beautiful, actually the three sisters are all pretty! If I need to choose who is the best, I will always choose myself. Normally I don’t put on make-up and I drink plenty water and soup. It is said HD filming can reveal an actress’s age: Ada said “Don’t worry, HD brings out the actresses’ most real and most beautiful side to the audience. Only babies are completely wrinkle-free, I’m sure the audience won’t just concentrate on the actresses’ looks.”

Myolie agreed that Gigi has really good skin, her skin looks so young and vibrant. Myolie “Of course everyone wtants to look good for HD, I use make-up sponsored by Ex beaute, the results are really good. Usually I drink lots of water and soup, and I regularly do facials.” Charmaine also agreed drinking plenty of water and eating fruits regularly is the best way to care for skin. It is also important to be happy, face work with a positive attitude.
