Twins Told to Wear Red Underwear for Popularity
Twins, who performed on TVB’s CNY show on Saturday night, are on a two day break and will begin work tomorrow. Gillian Chung disclosed that their manager had told them to wear red underwear so that they will be ‘red hot’ in the new year. Gillian, who went shopping for red underwear, saw Sun Boy’z and so, bought them each red love heart boxes.
Charlene had eaten dinner with her family before performing on TVB’s show. She commented, “Every year, for Chinese New Years Eve dinner, we have fish!”
To celebrate the Year of the Pig, TVB had a variety show, "CNY Eve Special 2007", and they had invited Twins and Sun Boy'z as the guests to play game with the audience. The host, Liza Wang, had also sung a Chinese New Year song; Wu Fung had also dressed up as the fortune god on the show and passed out red envelopes, making the the show a joyful scene!
Charlene Choi expressed that each Chinese New Year, the gathering dinner at her house would have a weird tradition, and this year, a fish (Chinese pronounciation: Yu) was placed on the table, but it had a rule of 'Look, But Don't Touch'. Charlene expressed that her father said that this represents 'Nin Nin Yau Yu', meaning that the family will always have something good left over each year.
As for Gillian Chung, she claimed that she will be wearing red undergarments because her manager, Mani Fok, said that if she did, she will be popular and fortunate the whole year. Gillian laughed and said, "When I was buying the undergarments, I ran into Sun Boy'z, so I bought red underwear for them as well! (Do you want them to buy you something as well?) It's fine!" Sun Boy'z expressed that they are wearing the red underwear right now, but a little earlier, Gillian told them that this tradition actually has no effect on males! Then, Sun Boy'z did not know whether they should cry or laugh! Then will they give Gillian a gift back? Steven frankly expressed that it will be embarassing, so if he does, he would ask Mani to give to Gillian for him.
