Beijing - May 29th 2005 - Chinese Pop Diva Faye Wong to quit singing.
Bad news for the fans of Hong Kong pop diva Faye Wong.
Veteran Hong Kong singer and actress Faye Wong will soon retreat from the spotlight, quitting her singing and acting career. She only left two advertisement contracts to fulfill. The 36-year-old singer has already reduced her work from last year. Her last album was released two years ago.
It is said that Faye Wong is planning to tie the knot with her new lover Li Yapeng, a mainland actor. Her manager says he is not sure that whether or not Faye Wong will return.

Thats really sad news, shes a great singer and i hope she'll change her mind and comeback with another hit cd.

....i really like her, great singer. She's getting old, I guess retiring from singing, and acting is good for her.

| Faye Wong is a diva already. I think it's time to end her career because there are a lot of young singers rising fast and it's hard to compete against them. I believe it's a good thing that she's quitting with her music career. |
