i don't think it's short for emotional, like stupid_mui said, they cut themselves and they are very depress all the time similar to goth but worse. they are quite scary sometimes but maybe they are just mis-understood  |

Heehee, if anyone is still interested, just go over to wikipedia.com and type in 'emo' ...pretty good explanation there.
There's a lot of them here where I live - can get very frustrating. |
